Sometimes I feel
Like I haven't had
A clear thought in months
Like my head
Is full of fog
So dense that
If you reach out
You could touch it
And sometimes I feel
Like a single grain of sand,
One in a million,
But forever overlooked
Like a single drop of rain
Into an ocean of water
Unseen and unnoticed
By the rest of the crowd
And sometimes I feel like a star
Shining and free
For everyone to look at
But taking the weight
Of all of their wishes
Enough to pull me
Right out of the sky
But sometimes I feel
Like I'm wearing a mask
Covering up the mask before that
And the mask before that
Until I can't remember
The face underneath
Sometimes I feel
Like I'm all of these things
Sewn, and stitched, and pieced together
Sometimes I feel
Like I'm me
