The Righteous Sunrise

The thawing of the frozen night,
Occurring when the clock is halved.
Beauty peaks from the mountains,
Crawling through the glass of the doors.

The first steps within the light
Take decision of what the day will come
Go forth with all your might,
To beat the sun in a race to rise,
Set forth your journey with no despite.

To the local bistro is where to begin,
The fresh roast cup of Joe but not taken to go,
To brighten the morning before the day slows,
Look past the peaks where the sun is stretching
Carried away with liberating thoughts,
Speaking aloud, “I am Righteous, I am Alive”
