I open my eyes and watch the way the sun hugs the earth.
It’s another perfect day. A fresh start. Another chance to change your life.
And then the memories start to flutter into your mind.
Suffocating every optimistic thought you had for today.
The perfection in the shape of his body.
His big brown eyes. The way he smiles, The way he looks at you.
His cowlick; his perfect white teeth.
How can someone so immaculate be such a monster?
You start pondering about the way his hands embrace your body.
The power he has while he holds you in a position you can never recover from.
The bruises, the scratches, the mental scars.
That forceful grip that is impossible to escape.
You start to scream but you remember that no one will hear you.
Where is your so called god? I get to the point where I surrender.
I hand over every last bit of self-worth, self-confidence, self-esteem, self-possession; ALL of my pride and dignity.
