Walking down Cherry Lane
Blooming cherry trees all the way
Beautiful, sweet,and delicate too
A fragrant perfume that will fill you
A cool, fresh breeze blowing in your hair
You sense magic from everywhere
In the dew drop filled grass
And the cherry blossom petals, delicate like glass
Beauty from the simplest things
Like little baby sprouts and bluebirds' wings
Everything so open, so very free
Everything perfect, even things you can't see
Then you've come to realize you've reached the end
You try to find excuses to stay, reasons to defend
But try as you might, you know you must leave
So you bid farewell to the blossoms, birds, and trees
After you've kissed every baby sprout a wistful goodbye
You try to hold back tears, and instead let out a sigh
As you leave, you look at the cherry blossoms one more time
You know your time there was absolutely sublime.
