What would it be like
if you could live another day
or a week, or month or a year?
I imagined it'd be so much better in this world with you here.
You would learn to walk, to talk, dance and sing
I can only imagine all the joy you would bring.
I often wonder what you would've been like,
maybe when you were older you could learn to play soccer, and ride a bike.
We would show you off to everyone,
they'd want to hold you all the time,
they'd say "what a cute little boy"
and you would be
cute, smart and kind.
I know we'd get into fights,
you know how I love to tease,
and when forced to apologize,
we'd say "sorry, forgive me please."
I'd teach you things I know,
maybe learn some things from you,
like how to be a good older sister,
funny, kind and true.
But you didn't live for another day or week, month or year,
and suddenly the world seems a lot more sad without you here.
But we'll always love you,
keep you in our hearts and minds,
so rest well
sleep tight,
and soon you'll find,
that when you wake up you have the best family in the whole world waiting here for you,
one thats
funny
kind
and true.
We Love You.
